Don't Trust Rush

He bills himself as the most dangerous man in the country...and undoubtedly he is but not for the reason he likes to tout. Rush Limbaugh is the antithesis of everything he claims to be about. His braggadocio knows no limit, he proclaims his superiority of intellect, wit and physical beauty while proclaiming that he and he alone provides the stark truth to the American public. His ability to twist the facts and bend them to his agenda is most certainly a dangerous talent.

One of the things that causes me the greastest angst with Mr. Limbaugh is that he is, indeed, a very astute man; a man of great intellect who has chosen to apply that intellect in a manner which will line his pockets and his fill his off shore bank accounts unfettered by conscience. His support for all things Capitalist is his one great contribution to truth; I sincerely believe that if he thought he could make more money by reforming and becoming a mouthpiece for Liberalism he would.

His technique is to take just enough truth to make his statements smack of reality and then twist the perception to meet his prejudice. In his mouth there are no environmentalists...just environmental whackos. There are no schools, just scrools...there are no democrats with strong patriotic devotion, just Liberal commie fringe cuckoos. There are no women justly supportive of equal rights, just feminazis. There is no global warming, just the lust for redistribution of wealth.

Mr. Limbaugh is nothing more than a comical, well read and highly supported clown who ridicules those he wishes to undermine with farcical parodies and half truths. He is dangerous because there are far too many well meaning Americans who latch on to his misinformation in an attempt to defend their Conservative perspective of the American way. Those who support a strict interpretation of the Constitution should be the first to respect the rights of those who differ with their opinion. And those who would interpret the Constitution more liberally should also be first in line to defend the rights of Conservatives. Those of the ilk of Mr. Limbaugh should be rejected by both sides of the argument as mere entertainers...funny at times, more frequently offensive and always dismissible as an intelligent clown.
